Peter Klaver will be presenting at the 53rd International Conference on Water Management Modeling (ICWMM) in Toronto, Canada. The ICWMM brings together professionals from around the world to exchange ideas on current practices and emerging technologies in water management, emphasizing computer modeling to resolve water quantity and quality issues in stormwater, wastewater, watershed and water distribution systems.

Peter will present a paper titled “On the Use of Tracers in SWMM Models to Simulate Water Quality of Combined Sewer Overflows.” He will describe a project where existing collection system hydraulic models were modified, in a relatively simple way, to characterize the spatial variation of CSO quality based on the relative quantity of sanitary sewage in each overflow event. The goal was to provide additional information for prioritization of controls.

Peter’s presentation is Thursday, February 27 at 10:55 am (local time) during Session 7. Co-authors of the paper are John Barton, PhD, PE, of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati, and Carrie Turner, PE, of LimnoTech. If you attend the conference, stop by to talk to Peter about projects where LimnoTech has successfully applied this technology for clients in the U.S. and internationally.
